Pastor Greg Laurie to Unite Hundreds of Churches for Harvest America

The AT&T Stadium in Dallas is expected to host one of the largest Christian gatherings this year when Pastor Greg Laurie and top Christian musicians will gather to share the Gospel.

Harvest America will adequately make the necessary preparations of bringing together several local churches and thousands of simulcast locations from across the country for the Christian meeting. Pastor Laurie believes that the Harvest America 2018 congregation will be a spiritual revival that will mark the revolution of a world that is increasingly dark.

The entire Harvest America team prays that God will use the evangelistic event to bring light to the world and energize a new generation of Christians inspired in sharing their faith in Jesus.

Since their launch over two decades ago, the Harvest Crusades have been great soul-stirring gatherings dedicated to uniting communities for faith-building. When hosting meetings in different cities of the world, the Harvest Crusades bring together local churches from diverse communities of faith to share the love of God. A lot of work goes into preparing and hosting these large-scale events, but when all is done communities gather, lives flourish spiritually.

Laurie launched the first of such large-scale evangelistic meetings in 1990. By 2012, its version Harvest America was born, with a purpose of using the internet and satellite to simulcast live video to numerous locations across the nation.

The last Harvest America attracted a record of more than 90,000 worshipers at the AT&T Stadium. It’s believed over 180,000 believers watched their live video simulcast in all 50 states and over 123 countries from around the world. In total, the number of people who witnessed the historical evangelistic event surpassed 350,000. Pastor Laurie has held evangelistic crusades of almost similar magnitude in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

The Harvest America network is expected to be working closely with local pastors, an advisory board, and various ministry leaders to make the event a success. Some of the notable figures who will be in attendance include Rev. Robert Morris of Gateway Church and Dr. Jack Graham of Prestonwood Baptist Church among other prominent ministry leaders.

Harvest America has confirmed that the gospel musical guests who will grace the event include Chris Tomlin, Crowder, and Phil Wickham among others who will be announced at a later date. Laurie is confident that June 10th is the day thousands of Christians from all walks of life will congregate as one and proclaim that Jesus is the answer, together.

In a recent video, Pastor Greg Laurie suggested that there is a clear difference between Christianity and religion, contrary to common belief. In fact, there have been discussions and movements in the past trying to distinguish the difference between Christianity and religion. Laurie added his voice to the debate by reasoning that religion is all about humankind trying to find God, while Christianity is embedded on celebrating the fact that Jesus Christ found us.

While religion is all about trying to earn God’s favor through sacraments, Christianity is focused on having faith in Christ. He reiterated that Christianity is based on the relationship that every human being has with the creator, and thus no religion in the world can be likened it. Moreover, Jesus denounced the pharisaical religion in the Bible.

Pastor Greg Laurie is a senior pastor of the Harvest Christian Fellowship, Riverside, California, which runs the Harvest Crusades. His stated mission is presenting the message of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible throughout the world, and help believers nurture their faith in Jesus Christ.
